Kascia Williams
Program Director
Kascia Williams is the Program Director at Read to Grow, where she oversees the implementation and management of literacy programs: Books for Babies (BFB), Books for Kids (BFK), and Bookmobile (BKMB). These programs promote literacy and language development while empowering families to be their child’s first teachers. Kascia is also responsible for daily operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, as well as recruiting, training, and managing a diverse team of staff and volunteers. Kascia is deeply committed to improving literacy outcomes for all children. Her career spans roles as a teacher, school leader, and thought partner at literacy-focused nonprofits. She holds a BA in International Political Economy and Diplomacy and an M.Ed in Secondary Education, both from the University of Bridgeport.
Kascia’s favorite piece of literature isn’t a book, but a short story called Girl by Jamaica Kincaid.
