Larry Ferguson
Communications Coordinator & Project Manager
As Communications Coordinator and Project Manager at Read to Grow, Larry leads the creation and refinement of public-facing communications that help amplify the organization’s mission and impact. He develops and edits content across a variety of platforms, including social media, e-blasts, press releases, newsletters, and other marketing materials, while also supporting the planning and coordination of special projects and initiatives.
Larry has a deep passion for youth literacy and brings hands-on experience curating children’s and young adult collections, as well as developing programs that engage and inspire young readers. He holds both an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of the national communication honor society.
An enthusiastic reader from an early age, Larry is proud to help create those same opportunities for connection, discovery, and a lifelong love of reading for today’s young readers. Supporting children and their families on their literacy journeys is at the heart of why he does this work.
His favorite children’s book is The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales by Jon Scieszka.
